Using the SheSelect Mini Sewing Machine is easy once you get the hang of it! Follow these simple steps for a perfect stitch:
Thread the Machine: Pass your thread through the thread loop on the needle arm, then through the tension control (the two metal discs), and finally through the eye of the needle from front to back.
Lift the Fastening Plate: Use your thumb to lift the metal fastening plate and place your fabric underneath.
Position Your Fabric: Ensure your fabric is aligned where you want the seam to be.
Start Sewing: Hold the machine in your right hand. Press down firmly on the top of the machine (like a stapler) while holding the fabric with your left hand.
Let it Glide: The machine will automatically move the fabric to the left. Follow the rhythm and don't pull the fabric—let the machine do the work!
Secure the End: Once finished, lift the fastening plate, cut the thread (leaving about 2-3 inches), and pull it through to the back of the fabric to tie a simple knot.
Fabric Thickness: This machine works best on fabrics up to 1.8mm thick. It’s perfect for cotton, silk, and thin denim.
Tension Control: If the stitches are too loose or too tight, slightly turn the Tension Control wheel to adjust the thread flow.
Knotting: Since this is a single-thread machine, always remember to tie a small knot at the end of your stitch to prevent it from unraveling.
